Informed by the representatives of the municipality of Shkodra on the very difficult situation of another Roma community that lives in tents and cabins near the shore of Drini River, asked also by the Emergency Commission of Shkodra Region, Malteser Albania support the second Roma community
(ANSAmed) - TIRANA, FEBRUARY 13 - Following an extraordinary meeting last night, the Albanian government has declared a state of natural disaster in almost half of the country, which has been hit by a wave of poor weather conditions.
On February 11, the day dedicated to the sick, it was a very cold day with snow. The Mass was organized in the Cathedral of Shkodra and was celebrated by Mgrs. Angelo Massafra, with the parish priest and other priests as well.
Two representatives from Roma communities who live in tents and cabins in suburbs of Shkodra (Buna River shore) have asked Malteser Albania to support them in these cold, snowy days.
