Medical assistance in mountain areas

On May 03, 2017, the medical team of The Albanian Organization of the Order of Malta was in the mountainous Boge area where they managed to offer about 20 medical visits.

The doctor and nurse, which are volunteers, provided free medical examinations to the residents of the area and basic medicines for various problems for free.

Exposure visits to different businesses

On 26 April 2017 an exposure visit in “Kallugjeri Servis” business in Shkoder have been conducted with 12 Roma youth in the frame of project “Roma community in Action” Shkoder. During this visit, Roma youth have received necessary information for the profession of mechanic of cars and of course they have been informed theoretically and in practice about the rules applicable during the process of the repair of cars.

“Spreading Community Life Model: good practice exchange in the field of community life and housing for socially excluded people”

The project “Spreading Community Life Model” has been funded with support from the European Commission.The project runs for 2 years, from September 2016 to September 2018 The Spreading Community Life Model partnership involves 6 partners, Albania, Bulgaria, Italy, Serbia, Spain and UK. Project aims to collect and spread good examples of “community life models”. So that as a society we improve Community cohesion, education, training, economic sustainability and housing for vulnerable people.

“Children on the autistic spectrum” – a training seminar within the activities of the “Malteser Consultation and Service Center”

Dr. Anita Zacharias, pediatrician and Dr. Monika Aly, therapist, from Germany, were invited for the third time by the “Malteser Consultation and Service Center” to refer in the workshop “Children on the autistic spectrum”, which is organized by the Albanian Organization of the Order of Malta, in collaboration with the Municipality of Shkodra.
