On the World Day of the Sick, the volunteers and the First Aid Team of the Albanian Organization of the Order of Malta have been part of the activities held by the Catholic Church.
February 11th, otherwise known as the Feast of Lourdes, is a day dedicated to the sick people and for those who work very hard to alleviate the sufferings of the sick all around the world, initiated by Pope John Paul II in 1992. Everybody is invited to pray for those suffering from illnesses.
The Mass in the Cathedral “St. Stephen” in Shkodra was celebrated in the afternoon with the presence of innumerous believers, part of which were the sick people and the disabled ones.
The volunteers of the Albanian Organization of the Order of Malta transported the sick and the disabled people from the house “Missionaries of Charity Mother Teresa” to the Cathedral and back, while the FA Team took care of them.
