Within the International Nurses Day, the Albanian Organization of the Order of Malta, in collaboration with the Department of Nursing of the University “Luigi Gurakuqi”, organized on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 the medical activity focused on providing various health services for free.
This activity was held in four points (places) of Shkodra, at the square in front of the Municipality, at the Post Office, at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and in the Malteser Ambulatory. The purpose of this activity was to provide some basic medical services for the citizens. Citizens of different ages were able to receive some examinations, such as glycemia measurement, arterial pressure measurement, body mass index measurement, ECG, spirometry, etc.
These examinations were conducted by volunteer nurses of the Albanian Organization of the Order of Malta, as well as students of the 3rd year of the Nursing Faculty.
About 600 people received the provided service.
