From 24th – 27th September 2013, in Prague, took place the second meeting of the Malteser Youth on the CEE Malteser Youth network Project, initiated by the Steering Committee for the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) Order of Malta Relief Organization (OMRO).
The day started with a meeting at the Malteser Czech Republic Offices, where a general information was given on the activities held there. Then there was a guided visit at the Grand Priory and Malteser Church.
The dinner with the representatives of Malteser of Czech Republic, Albania, Germany, Ukraine, Romania, Lithuania and Hungary, and members of the Steering Committee of Malteser International Mr. Axel Dechamps and Mr. Michael Lulsdorf, was a chance to know each other better.
In the afternoon, the group travelled to Olomouc, which is located at the east part of Czech, in the region of Moldavia, a city with an ancient history.
The first day of the workshop “Developing the youth work within the Order of Malta Relief Organizations in Central and Eastern Europe” was focused on Youth Work approaches in CEE; history of Malteser Youth work in CEE, and how is the CEE Youth Network Project seen.
On the second day the meeting went on with the individual country goals under the project; the overall international goals – support initiative for the local plans; further steps – sharing responsibilities and planning and at the end the closing session and evaluation.
