Children’s day is celebrated in Albania every 1st of June. We consider it as the International Children Day even though it is not celebrated all around the world. The atmosphere in Shkodra was joyful: children holding flowers and balloons in their hands. Different entertaining activities were organized for the children by the respective staff and volunteers of Malteser Albania in Shkodra and Lezha.
On this occasional day Shkodra municipality in cooperation with Malteser Albania and other NGO-s had organized a festive show.
The children of our after-school ”Every child ready to read” performed a musical comedy and an act of the famous duo- Oliver Hardy and Stan Laurel.
After the event, both teachers and children had a walk at the pedestrian zone at the entrance of our city, known for its charming landscape. Before going back, everyone enjoyed an ice cream.
