On February 11, the day dedicated to the sick, it was a very cold day with snow. The Mass was organized in the Cathedral of Shkodra and was celebrated by Mgrs. Angelo Massafra, with the parish priest and other priests as well.
In Shkodra, some of the volunteers were engaged to collaborate with the Sisters of Mother Teresa “Missionaries of Charity” in transporting the sick children and old and sick people from their houses to the Church and vice-versa.At the end of the Mass, celebrants gave thanks to all those who helped in organizing the Mass, and a special thank was given to Malteser Albania volunteers that in a day so cold they were in service to help people in need.
There were six Malteser volunteers taking part during Mass and two cars were in service. Other volunteers were engaged in an emergency situation that is facing our region.
