Two representatives from Roma communities who live in tents and cabins in suburbs of Shkodra (Buna River shore) have asked Malteser Albania to support them in these cold, snowy days.
During these days it’s not possible for them to earn the daily bread (begging, collecting and selling scrap and plastic materials). 40 families have nothing to eat. They had asked for support state institutions but no one has responded to their request.In the facilities of Malteser Albania office, its staff and volunteers have prepared hot meal for 130 Roma people. They have shown a special attention to 65 children that are part of this community. Since this evening every day Malteser continues to serve hot meal for this community and supports them also with basic medical assistance.
