Spring has brought a warm weather and a warm atmosphere for the people. Those who feel it most are the children and the youth who are eagerly expecting to have different outdoor games and activities.
The disabled girls and children who live at the house “Missionaries of Charity Mother Teresa” in Shkodra know that this is a season to have walks and excursion with the Malteser volunteers, and they enjoy it very much.This time Malteser volunteers have organized an excursion for the disabled grown up girls and the children in two days. Their destination is Shiroka, a wonderful place with the lake and the amazing landscape.
The first day, May 7, the excursion was organized for the
disabled grown up girls. After reaching the place, the girls had a walk along the shore of the lake, enjoyed the water and played some games. Before leaving, they were treated with ice-creams.The second day, May 8, it was the turn of the children. They enjoyed some games and the nice weather of the village of Shiroka. Then they had a walk at the pedestrian at the entrance of Shkodra, where there is a wonderful view of the rivers and the lake. Even the children were treated with ice-cream.
The volunteers were happy being with the disabled girls and children. This is a way to show them that even though they have some disabilities, they are still equal as other people.
