After successfully accomplishing the second year of “First Aid Training at Schools”, a project which started in 2012, Malteser Albania started implementing it for the third year.
The two first years (2012-2013 & 2013-2014) were a beautiful experience which was positively assessed by the stakeholders, meeting the expectations of the Education Departments of Shkodra and Lezha. It also generated a lot of interest among students who wanted to know more on first aid assistance.
The third year (2014-2015) will also be implemented in 5 schools in Lezha and 10 in Shkodra with the aim of contributing to better health education for young people, specifically on first aid issues and practices. The training will pass through its four phases:
1) 15 standard First Aid trainings;
2) 3 trainings of trainers (multiplicators) with the best 10 students participating in each training;
3) trainings of students from the “First Aid multiplicators team” in each school under the supervision of Malteser; and
4) competition among schools, where the winner school will receive the prize of a trainer’s kit (laptop, beamer, rescue Anne modular).
Malteser Albania started the first phase of First Aid Training with students of the schools “Branko Kadia” and “Jordan Misja” in Shkodra. The students, are being provided with knowledge and practice on First Aid.
