The Albanian Organization of the Order of Malta successfully concluded the 3rd year of the “First Aid trainings at Schools”, with students of the 9-year and high schools in Shkodra and Lezha. Its aim was to contribute to a better health education for young people, specifically on first aid issues and practices. Even during this year the training passed through its four phases:
1) 15 standard First Aid trainings;
2) 3 trainings of trainers (multiplicators) with the best 10 students participating in each training;
3) trainings of students from the “First Aid multiplicators team” in each school under the supervision of Malteser; and
4) competition among schools, where the winner school would receive the prize of a trainer’s kit (laptop, beamer, rescue Anne modular).
At the end, 165 students of schools in Shkodra and 78 students of schools in Lezha were trained.
The competition was held in the premises of the high school “At Pjetër Meshkalla”, where the students of 15 schools competed in front of heads of the Regional Education Directorate of Shkodra and Lezha, teachers and other students of the participating schools. At the end of the competition, the school “Jordan Misja, Shkoder, won the first place; the school “Mother Teresa”, the second place and the school “Karl Gega”, Balldre, won the third place.
