After successfully passing the first year of the project “First Aid in Schools Malteser Albania started the second year of the project with students of secondary and high schools of Shkodra and Lezha.
This is a project that began as a Pilot Project in 2007 – 2008 with the approval of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, and seeing its success and the good will of the students to be informed and practiced on giving first aid, in 2012 the project was expanded in four phases, for three years. Thus, during the first year of the project implementation, 5 schools were selected in Lezha and 10 in Shkodra. 280 students were trained as first aid providers and 40 students were certified as trainers for students at their schools.The first trainings for the second year started with the students of the secondary schools “Branko Kadia” and “Mati Logoreci” in Shkodra.
As in the first year, the First Aid training in schools will pass through four stages: training of students in providing first aid, training of multipliers to create the “Multipliers (trainers) Team of First Aid” in each trained school, First Aid courses by the “Multipliers Team” under the supervision of Malteser and the competition among schools with prizes for winner schools of 1st and 2nd places.
