On March 26, in the city of Shkodra, there was organized the fourth edition of the event “Folk Games Fest 2011”.
This activity was intended to enrich the lives of young people and to introduce them with the national traditions by dances, songs and folk games. A novelty of this activity was the running race “Run to the castle of Rozafa 3km”. The activity started at 10.00 with the opening ceremony on the main square and the running race and went on to the Castle Rozafa. Among other activities, there was the photographic exhibition from previous editions of the folk games, traditional food, traditional handmade etc.
The event was organized by “The Door” with the support of Council of Shkodra District, Shkodra Municipality, The Commune Qerret, etc, and among others, participated groups from the Commune of Shkodra District, Municipality of Rubik and a special group of Albanian and Norwegian volunteers who came from Norway.
With the request of “The Door”, Malteser Albania assisted with the First Aid Service during the whole activity. There were present 3 volunteers and an auto ambulance.
