On March 23, the city of Shkodra was decorated with the colors of the sixth edition of the event “Folk Games Fest 2013”, with the participation of youth from Albania and Kosovo.
This cultural and sportive activity is organized by the NGO “The Door”, with the aim to promote the friendship and peace among the children and youth, enrich the lives of young people and introduce them with the national traditions by dances, songs and folk games.The event started at 09.30 in front of the Municipality with the opening ceremony. Two running races, 2.5 km and 5 km were organized from the Municipality with the finish to the Old Bridge and the New Bridge of Buna. Then the other activities were held in the Rozafa Castle, among which, there were songs, dances, humor, folk games, etc.
With the request of “The Door”, Malteser Albania was present with the First Aid Service during the whole activity. The First Aid Team assisted a participant who broke his arm and transported him to the hospital.
