The seventh edition of the event “Folk Games Fest 2014”, organized by the NGO “The Door” was held in April 12, 2014. This event has become e tradition for the Northern Region of Shkodra. This year the activity was organized for the first time in the Natural Amphitheater in the Eco-social Farm, Ana e Malit, Oblika.
The Folk Games Fest is a social-cultural activity for the youth, with the aim to enrich their lives, presenting them with the national traditions through the performance of songs, dances, folk games, etc. where children and youth coming from communes and municipalities take part.The event started with the running competition, 2,5 and 5 km from the Old Bridge of Buna in Shkodra to the Eco-social Farm. It continued then with folk games, dances with folk motives, a fashion show with traditional costumes, and hand wrestling (for male and female).
Alongside these activities, a bike round from Bar-Restaurant San Francisco in Shkodra to the Eco-social Farm in Oblika with a distance of 8 km and a fair of old bikes were held. There were various prizes given and 400 olive trees were planted in the Eco-social Farm Ana e Malit.
With the request of “The Door”, Malteser Albania was present with the First Aid Service during the whole activity.
