
On September 9 and 10, 2009, at the Village of Peace in Shkodra, it was held the 5th Diocesan Assembly, organized by the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Shkodër-Pult. The theme of this assembly was “For a Renewed Parish Pastoral” with the participation of priests, religious, seminarians, and lay, representatives of Commission “Justice and Peace”, Caritas, Catechists, Legion of Mary, Youth Pastoral, Lay Franciscan Order, Catechumenal Movement, Community “John XXIII”, Project “Hope”, “Madonnina del Grappa” Malteser, and Kolping Family.
The Assemble was held during these two days from 9.00 to 18.00 with the Morning Prayers, the greeting of H.E Angelo Massafra, the commentary of Don Antonio Ruccia, Professor in the Theological Faculty of Pulia, who presented the paper “A parish for Albania”, workshops, discussions, different witnesses from young people, parents, a nun and a priest on the parish pastoral, the Holy Mass, ending with the feedback of Don Antonio and the presentation of a plan project on the parish pastoral.
Malteser Albania was present with a staff member and five volunteers who participated actively in the workshop and different discussions.
