New Year is a very traditional and important celebration for Albanians, a celebration inherited from communism. Seeing the difficult economic and social situation that our country is facing, the staff and the volunteers of the Albanian Organization of the Order of Malta were encouraged to undertake another humanitarian initiative for people in need.
Specifically, on the eve of this feast, the volunteers distributed food packages and utensils for several families of Roma and Egyptian communities.
Through these social activities and humanitarian initiatives, the volunteers and the staff of the Organization have communicated their message, not only to help but also to raise awareness on these feast days, to be found as close as possible to families in need and contribute a little bit to improve the social and economic situation of these families.
