Within the project “Support of the population of South Albania facing a flood emergency”, a project financed by Nando Peretti Foundation, and in collaboration with the Sapa Diocese, the Albanian Organization of the Order of Malta, in collaboration with the Regional Education Directorate of Fier, held a two-day informational and educational training on flooding.
These trainings were conducted mainly in the schools of flooded villages: Bishan, Ferras and Frakull. During these trainings, the students were informed how to act before, during and after flooding and measures to be taken. They were given leaflets with needed information. There were 285 students trained by representatives of the Albanian Organization of the Order of Malta.
There are 2 months that the Civil Protection structures of Malteser, started realizing the monitoring of drinking water in the flooded areas and also have made its laboratory tests.
