These are the words which accompanied the invitation for the inauguration of the House of Charity in Laç Vau-Dejës on September 6, 2012.
The ceremony began with the Mass at 10.00, led by H.E Msgr. Rrok Mirdita, Archbishop of Tiranë-Durrës in co-celebration with Msgr. Angelo Massafra, Archbishop of Shkodër-Pult, Msgr. Lucjan Avgustini, the hospitable Bishop of Laç Vau-Dejës and president of Malteser Albania, Msgr. Dodë Gjergji, Bishop of Kosovo, Msgr. Zef Gashi, Bishop of Bar, Msgr. Lorenzo Ghizzoni, auxiliary bishop of Reggio Emilia-Guastalla, Fr. Gazmend Tinaj, Provincial of Minor Franciscans and Spiritual Leader of Malteser Albania and many other priests of the diocese.
At the beginning of the Mass, Msgr. Avgustini gave thanks to all those who made possible the opening of the House of Charity, especially the Carmelitan Sisters, who have come from Italy to serve in this House for people with disabilities and elderly ones. This inauguration was on the 950-anniversary of the Diocese of Sapa and the anniversary of the consecration of the Cathedral that keeps the name of the Blessed Mother Teresa.
After the Mass, Msgr. Lorenzo Ghizzoni blessed the house. Then everybody present was invited to have lunch together.
The whole ceremony was attended by the staff and volunteers of Malteser Albania with the First Aid Team and the ambulance.
