June 1st, is the international day of children. In many countries various celebrations are organized having the children as protagonists, which are intended to raise the attention of all people in terms of their welfare.
Besides being a festive day, it is a day of awareness, through which it is said “No” to the violence and abuse against children, when the children themselves speak up for their rights, but unlike adults, they protest through these festive games. In this day so welcoming to children, Malteser Albania has organized an activity with the Roma children. The Roma children spent a special day with the Malteser volunteers, who organized games, songs and recitations. Together they enjoyed a wonderful walk, though the weather was not in their favor.
After returning to the Village of Peace, the children were divided into two teams: the boys played football and the girls played volleyball and some other entertaining games.
