“Local development strategies on social services in Shkodra and Ulcinj region”, is a project financed by the European Union and is represented by the EU delegation in two respective countries, through the IPA cross-border program, Albania – Montenegro.
Malteser Albania is member of the committee made up of 11 representatives of different institutions and NGO-s.The aim of the project is to improve new services for young people through the exchange of technical competences and governance and the spread of best practices between the local government authorities. The beneficiaries of this project are the children and young people, the municipal staff and government institutions and local community.
For this purpose a number of meetings have been held in Shkodra and in Ulcinj.
On July 4, in Ulcinj, it was held the third meeting of the committee. The committee members discussed on: Update on progress of the project; Project activities; Upcoming activities; Recommendations for the ongoing implementation of the project.
Related to the upcoming activities there was agreed the finalization of regional activity in Shkodra (camping with kids with disabilities) during August and development of children conference in Ulcinj in November.
Activities will continue with trainings in Shkodra and Ulcinj.
