There are many families in Shkodra (as elsewhere) who live in poor conditions due to many factors.
One of them is Muça Family, made up of the mother Moza, divorced in 2002, because of maltreatments by her husband, and four children, two sons and two daughters.
The family has been moving from one part to the other, from Shkodra to Kosovo and vice-versa, being faced with poverty, violence, and difficult life conditions.
In 2009 the family comes back to Shkodra and Moza and her children live in her parents’ home, which is in very bad conditions. Words are not enough to express the poverty of the house and of the family.
With the request of “The Door”, Malteser Albania, in collaboration with “Kiwanis”, has built and furnished a new bathroom in the yard of the house, since during the 3 months the family has been living there, there was neither a bathroom nor a toilet.
