The Community and Competence Center / Consultation and Service Center has deepened its activities in supporting marginalized people, children with mental and physical problems, the disabled elderly, people with few opportunities, so that they feel equal to other people.
The Center activities are various. The autistic people continue to be treated in the Centre and until now, there are 22 people of age 3 to 16 years, almost all of autistic spectrum, three times a week.The project of the center is in its second phase, during which a critical map is being compiled, for places where roads are needed specifically for people with physical abilities, wheelchair ramps, in order to allow people in wheelchairs and with other immobility impairments use the sidewalks and public transport easier and more safety.
Information and awareness meetings and round tables will be organized with representatives of Municipality, Public Health Service, NGO-s Business, etc.
In the frame of the Centre activities, in the House of Charity in Lac Vau Dejës, where elderly and disabled people of all ages are treated, a physiotherapist treats a tetraplegic child three times a week.
The Malteser volunteers continue their weekly activities at the House Missionaries of Charity Mother Teresa with the disabled children and girls as well at the Development Center in Shkodra.
