On June 27, 2008, in a simple ceremony, the staff and the volunteers of Malteser Albania would welcome the new spiritual leader, the Franciscan Father Gazmend Tinaj, the Provincial of the Franciscan Congregation in Albania.
Father Tinaj was born on October 16, 1974. He chose to follow the call of God, to become a Franciscan friar. He was consecrated to priesthood on June 29, 2001. He completed his studies in Jerusalem, where he studied Bible and Hebrew and Greek languages.
