The year 2012 was officially proclaimed as the year of celebrations for the 100th anniversary of independence of all the Albanian territories, the 100th anniversary of the establishment of an independent Albania.
On the occasion of this anniversary, in the continuity of the activities held by the Regional Directorate of Health in Shkodra entitled “Beside the citizen 100 years of independence and 100 years of health”, on the dates 3 – 9 December, Malteser Albania organized certain medical services for free as, blood pressure, glycemy level, and EKG for all the interested people. These services were provided in some places.
Shkodër: on December 3 – 7, in the settings of Malteser, it was provided blood pressure, glycemy level, and EKG.
Sheldi: on December 3, at the health center, it was provided blood pressure and glycemy level.
Shkodër: on December 5, at the House for Elderly People, it was provided blood pressure, glycemy level, and EKG.
Bratosh: on December 6, at the health center, it was provided blood pressure and glycemy level.
Lac Vau Dejës: on December 7, at the settings of the House of Charity, it was provided blood pressure, glycemy level, and EKG.
Bogë: on December 9, at the health center, it was provided blood pressure and glycemy level.
In each center there were three Malteser volunteer nurses who offered the medical services to the interested people.
