The Albania Organization of the Order of Malta continues to play a critical role in supporting the elderly through a number of activities such as city trips, visits to museums, monuments and pilgrimages.
Even this year, the Malteser young volunteers have assisted in the yearly pilgrimage with the elderly and sick people of Shkodra Parish to the Sanctuary of St. Anthony in Laç – Kurbin, where they prayed together and attended the Holy Mass. There were 20 elderly accompanied to this holy and lovely place for the Albanians, who gather in a great number in this Sanctuary throughout the year, especially during the 13th Tuesdays dedicated to St. Anthony, culminating with the feast day of June 13th.
