As a continuity of the religion activities that Malteser Albania organizes, the first pilgrimage for this year was programmed in Medjugorje.
Medjugorje is a town located in western Bosnia and Hercegovina, and it is a special place visited by thousands of pilgrims each year in search of the spirituality and serenity that exists in this place.
Six children from this small village located in the southwest of Bosnia and Herzegovina reported a series of apparitions of the Virgin Mary that began on 24 June 1981 and still continue today.
Our pilgrimage was guided by the spiritual leader of Malteser, Father Gazmend Tinaj. Six volunteers and two staff members led by the spiritual leader have climbed the mountain and prayed close to the holy place where the Virgin Mary appeared; afterwards they participated in the Holy Mass. The Mass was celebrated in the Medugorje church by the Parish priest of Medjugorje with Father Gazmend Tinaj and other priests as well.
