In the continuity of the awareness activities in the frame of autism awareness month, on Saturday, April 25, Malteser Consultative and Service Center held a promotional workshop on the ABA method (Applied Behavior Analysis) in cooperation with “the Albanian Association of Applied Behavior Analysis,”.
This workshop was organized in the premises of the Municipality of Shkodra with the participation of psychologists, teachers, parents, educators and specialists who deal with the treatment of children of the autistic spectrum.
The workshop was focused on the innovation and challenges of the ABA program in Albania.
During the presentation of the ABA program by Mrs. Anjeza Dishnica and Mrs. Elona Ceco, information was given on this highly successful therapy in the treatment of children of the autistic spectrum. Where does this therapy focus? What is the ideal age for starting this therapy? What does it offer differently from other therapies? These were some of the questions, which were answered during this workshop. A special attention was given to the questions addressed by the participants, which were mainly focused on case management.
