Since the beginning of 2007 ongoing, Malteser Albania volunteers have been engaged at weekends to assist handicap children and youth who live at the Missionary House of Mother Teresa in Shkodra.
Even this year, the Malteser volunteers have been going once a week to offer their assistance at the Sisters in preparing meals, feeding the children, accompanying children during free-time and organizing walks and excursions with the young girls who live at the Sisters.
Since February 2007 there have been 40 Volunteers taking part and they have offered their contribution for about 850 hours.
The Malteser volunteers have organized during May Month (the month of Our Lady) some activities with the young girls who live at the sisters, as the pilgrimage at Our Lady Shrine.
