The last study visit of the PAIRS on the project “Effective Programs for the Active Integration/Inclusion of the Roma in South-East Europe” was held in Slovakia in October 16-17, 2013.
On the first day, October 16, the attendees were transferred to Stará Lubovňa, a town close to the northern border with Poland, where they were invited to follow the program under the title “Integrated approach in Podsadek”:
– Provision of comprehensive social services and education for the marginalized Roma, Savings and Microcredit programs, cooperation with the local municipality, local NGO and church
– Meeting with the representatives of Stará Lubovňa
– Visit of the marginalized settlement Podsadek

At noon the visit was at Košice-Šaca, at the ETP Community Center, where the group met with the Municipality and local NGOs representatives and were introduced with the presentation of the U.S. Steel Employment, the Program Equality of Opportunity (U.S. Steel Košice), the ETP Educational Program Feuerstein, and the implementation of the Instrumental Enrichment in partnership with local Elementary School.
