After coming to the end of the Summer School – Camp, Velipoja 2015, with the participation of Roma and Egyptian children, children of remote areas, the Albanian Organization of the Order of Malta organized the 1-week summer camp with disabled children and girls.
The participating children live in the city of Shkodra and Vau Dejës and are part of the services provided by the staff of the Organization, and the girls who live in the house “Missionaries of Charity Mother Teresa” in Shkodra.
Thirty disabled people were part of the camp. During this week the volunteers of the Albanian Organization of the Order of Malta organized for them various sports activities, social and entertaining: water and sand games, swimming lessons, entertaining games, dancing and various entertaining activities at the beach, etc. Boating in the sea and walks on the shore, in the company of volunteers of Malteser, was impressive for these camp participants.
The children and the girls felt very good in the company of the volunteers. This was expressed through postcards exchanged with each other.
In September our volunteers will restart their weekly activities with the girls who live in the house “Missionaries of Charity Mother Teresa”.
