The first phase of the 35th Franciscan pilgrimage under the title “I seek your face” successfully came to its end on July 31, with the first itinerary Dushaj – Vau Dejës.
In the name of faith and following the example of St. Francis, the young participants from all over Albania walked to a northern part of Albania on foot.

Among the pilgrims there were even the volunteers of the Albanian Organization of the Order of Malta, who, except being pious pilgrims, also served as a First Aid Team. Throughout the pilgrimage, the pilgrims were accompanied by the Malteser ambulance.
In Vau Dejës, the pilgrims stopped at the Cathedral Mother Teresa where they were greeted by Mons. Lucian Avgustini, Bishop of Sapa, President of the Albanian Organization of the Order of Malta. He asked the young people to pray for Albania and Albanians. Later, blessing them, he wished them a good journey to Assisi, the birthplace of the Order of Minor Friars.
