The national football league in Albania came to its end for the season 2008-2009.
After 33 weeks from one match to the other, Tirana was the winner of the trophy of the championship while Vllaznia, the Shkodra team came second during the final match of May 23 in “Qemal Stafa stadium, Tirana.
Even this year Malteser Albania has lived from close the emotions of the competition, during the matches held in Shkodra, since it was once more participating with its medical assistance. The collaboration between Malteser Albania and FK Vllaznia, which started on March 01, 2007, is being seen as very fruitful from both parts. The FK Vllaznia has been very contented with the assistance offered by the Malteser volunteers in medical services during football matches held in the stadium “Loro Boriçi” in Shkodra, not only in the national league, but even during the European championships and fellowship matches.
What is more, the FK Vllaznia has asked the Malteser Albania paramedic volunteers to assist even during youth championship held in Shkodra. This collaboration began on September 14, 2008.
