On 13 to 15 June 2013 in Vilnius, Lithuania, took place the first meeting of the Malteser Youth on the initiation of the CEE Malteser Youth network, initiated by the Steering Committee for the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) Order of Malta Relief Organization (OMRO).
The goals of this meeting were:
-Youth group building;
-Get to know more about CEE OMRO youth organizations;
-Initiate a networking between Malteser Youth (MY) organizations in CEE region;
-Introduce MY network project;
-Understand what the network is;
-Create MY network plan, goals, mission, structure and understand its needs;
-Prepare a plan for MY tasks and share responsibilities and schedule;
-Initiate the network statement and agreement;
-Get to know more about CEE OMRO youth organizations;
-Initiate a networking between Malteser Youth (MY) organizations in CEE region;
-Introduce MY network project;
-Understand what the network is;
-Create MY network plan, goals, mission, structure and understand its needs;
-Prepare a plan for MY tasks and share responsibilities and schedule;
-Initiate the network statement and agreement;
The participants of the meeting were representatives of Malteser Albania, Czech Republic, Romania and Lithuania.

The second day of the meeting began with a workshop to understand what network is, the reason of having a MY network and preparing its goals. In the afternoon, the participants had the opportunity to picture the MY international network, being aware of the risks and possibilities to understand the benefits of the network.
The activity of the third day was focused on personal commitment to the network, responsibilities and planning. The main points were: the personal commitment, what I can and want to take/learn from the network, share responsibilities and finalize the network structure. All this was followed by the presentation of the plan to the Steering Committee and the meeting concluded with the reflections of the activities.
It was decided that the second meeting will take place on September 27 to 29 in Prague, Czech Republic.
