March brings spring flavor with many celebrations and anniversaries. What we love most are commemorations of 7-8 March.

March 8, is known as “Women’s Day” in the whole world. This day not only unites women regardless their religion, race, culture, language and background, but also reminds us of their efforts for equality, peace, justice, and construction. In this day people reflect on the courage and actions of simple women who played a significant role in the history of women’s rights.

First, the Malteser volunteers celebrated with Roma children in their school. The children sang and recited in front of their teachers. Then the feast atmosphere passed at the settings of the Village of Peace with the children and women of the Roma Community. The children had prepared a symbolic gift for their mothers: a postcard made with their hands. The volunteers treated them with sweets.
At the Sisters of Mother Teresa, the girls with different abilities, assisted by the Malteser volunteers had prepared and showed a simple program, with songs, recitations and games in front of the sisters, who offer so much care and maternal love to them. Two of the girls had the birthday and the atmosphere created gave them great joy. Besides cakes for all the girls, the volunteers had prepared gifts for both girls who celebrated their birthday.
