The World Day of the Poor is celebrated for the first time this year on November 19, and H.E Pope Francis invites us to realize social assistance for poor. For Malteser Albania staff and volunteers all the days are the same: all our projects and activities are to help the poor and disadvantaged communities’ throughout of Albania.
On November 19, as all the catholic communities of the world our volunteers and staff distributed food packages, warm clothes for children of families in need.
Another activity that our volunteers organised was to cook apple cake and prepare hot tea for free for elderly people. This represents an ongoing project to help the elderly people that lives lonely without social economical support.
